Dorothy Marie Trusty

Dorothy Marie Trusty, 89 years old of Winamac, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by her loving family Thursday, February 5, 2026 in Winamac, Indiana.

She was born Wednesday, January 6, 1937 in Laporte, Indiana, Daughter of the late Fred Koch and the late Mary Edith (Gnuschke) Koch.

April 2, 1955 in North Judson, Indiana, Dorothy married Earl Trusty, he preceded her on May 16, 2006.

Dorothy was a member of the Free United Baptist church.  She enjoyed sewing and making quilts for her family.  Our Dad and Mom opened their hearts and their home to all their church family that they loved so much and had many gatherings there.  Our mother would take from herself so that her children might have.  Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.  

She worked as a Bus Driver  for North Judson schools. 

Surviving are Son, Earl Edward(Cherene) Trusty of Winamac, Indiana, Son, Tony Ray(Cindy) Trusty of Monticello, Indiana, Son, Larry Dean  Trusty of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter, Vicki  Lynn Richey of North Judson, Indiana, Daughter-in-law, Robin Trusty of North Judson, Indiana, 14 grandchildren 30 great-grandchildren 8 great great-grandchildren, Brother, Don Koch of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, June White of North Judson, Indiana, Sister, Betty(Byron) White of North Judson, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Trusty. son Daniel Lee Trusty, parents Fred and Mary Edith Koch, brothers: Leonard, Oscar, Paul and Elmer Koch,  and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Friends will be received 11 AM till time of service at 1 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026  at the Free United Baptist Church,  Braman & Bailey Funeral Home of  North Judson, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 1 PM at the Free United Baptist  Church of North Judson, Indiana, with Rev. Mike Noble  officiating.

Interment will follow in the Denham Cemetery, Denham, Indiana.

Memorial may be made to the Free United Baptist church.
